This class is taught by PGHW member, Nancy Shiffrin.
Create a scarf or a table runner in this beautiful structure. Huck lace is almost as easy to weave as plain weave since the classic structure is all in the set up. I will bring a variety of 8-shaft drafts to choose from. We’ll cover some information about drafting Huck lace on 8 shafts, and how to make changes in the tie up and treadling to change the pattern. Recommended yarns could be 8/2 tencel or 5/2 bamboo for scarves, and 5/2 Perle cotton or 16/2 linen for table runners. You could use one color in the warp and weft, or use another color in the weft that differs in color or value from the warp. Student will provide their own yarns. I will contact students regarding help with choosing and ordering yarns prior to the first class. This class is appropriate for any level of weaver who has taken at least one beginning weave class.
