Many of us “fiberistas” love to make things with our hands: knitted sweaters, hand-spun-yarn,
woven scarves and shawls, mud-printed bags, felted clothing, beaded jewelry, art-to-wear.
But there inevitably comes a time when we don’t know what to do with all the treasures we’ve accumulated—the fabric scraps, yarn, yarn cones, buttons, beads, spools, patterns, and even failed projects that we can’t sell or bring ourselves to throw out!
In this class we will make armatures using found objects, and then create and paint 2 doll heads
from air dry clay. Then we will wrap, bundle and “dress” at least one of these little figures using
your own and Ellen’s fabulous stash of fabrics and ethnic textiles and a few supplies of your own. If time permits, we will dress the second head as well.
