This class is aimed at weavers who have already taken the equivalent of a beginner class, and have some familiarity with warping a loom.
If you have taken one of our beginner classes, this is the class for you!
Our goal is to help students stretch their skills and learn something new!
You will receive help to design and weave a project. Nancy Shiffrin will encourage students to try something new; new yarn, a new structure, a new type of project. In the past, students have tackled lace weaves, overshot, twills, turned taquette or double weave.
You might weave a scarf, table linens or a wall hanging. Students will bring their own yarns to weave, and will be in touch with the teacher ahead of class to do some pre-planning.
This class meets for 6 sessions:
Tuesdays 6-9 pm Nov. 7, 14, 21, 28, Dec. 5, & 12
Member fee $325
Non-member fee $365
If not enough students sign up, the class will be cancelled. We will let students know 1 week prior to start time.
