Learn How to Make a Quilt, 2 day workshop with Sheryl Kessler

December 14 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

In this 2 day class you will learn how to make a quilt by creating a small (wall-hanging) quilt.

All techniques can be done by hand and most by machine, both will be taught. You will learn patchwork, applique (both raw and turned edge), hand quilting (machine quilting requires a walking foot for your machine), tied quilting (bring knitting yarn if you would like to learn this technique), and binding. Your quilt will be unique to you. You will also learn an easy method to hang your quilt.

Supply list:

One piece of fabric (back) and one piece of solid, fairly light colored for front, both 24”
Miscellaneous fabric scraps and/or old clothing you are willing to cut up
Scissors
Hand-sewing needles
Embroidery needles (suggest Bohin Needles Size 20 for Embroidery) (if you purchase a different brand, please make sure they are sharp and size 20, nothing bigger)
