In this 2 part workshop, Christine Wilkinson will teach you 4 distinctly different weave structures using just 1 warp. At the end of the workshop, you will have a sampler that you can refer to for future projects. This class is for rigid heddle weavers with basic knowledge of loom set-up.
4 Structures:
1. Spot Bronson Lace
2. Color and Weave
3. Finger-controlled weaves such as Leno, Brooks Bouquet and Spanish Lace
4. Transparency/Tapestry
Requirements:
Rigid Heddle loom, at least 15” width
10 or 12 dent heddle
Yarn (to be specified)
The loom must be pre-warped using 10/2 cotton or 10/2 linen in a pattern you will receive before the class. Weft yarns can be 10/2 cotton, 5/2 cotton, cotton slub, bamboo, novelty yarns. (Detailed information on yarns will be sent to registrants before the class.)
