Join leader of The Craft Coven, Cassie Jones for an afternoon of exploratory embroidery. If you’re completely new to stitching you’ll have a beginner’s look into many things that can be done with embroidery while you complete your first sampler. If you’re more experienced with stitching we’ll use our samplers to create more advanced textures including small punch needle embroidery and weaving within our hoops. Regardless of your skill level I challenge you to show up with one material you’ve never stitched before, and we’ll find a way to tackle it together! Stitches covered will be: running, back, blanket, satin, chain, couching, fern, basket, and there will be punch needles available for everyone to try. You will also leave with a punch needle kit to take home.
Students should bring:
One (1) 5″ embroidery hoop
Fabric scissors
Embroidery needle (s)
Embroidery floss any preferred colors
Woven Cotton Fabrics (at least 7″ x 7″)
