Introduction to Inkle Loom and Band Weaving with Myra Wood
Inkle looms are wonderfully portable weaving looms used to make colorful bands, straps and belts. In this class you’ll learn how to warp the loom, read and design an inkle pattern and then do a basic, relaxing plain weave to create your band. Free online software will be used and explained in detail so you can make endless designs yourself.
Materials:
We have 8 inkle looms and stick shuttles that can be used for the class. First come first serve. You will indicate on the registration form whether or not you need a loom.
Anyone who already has their own inkle and shuttle can sign up outside of the 8 student limit. We can also rent them after class to anyone who wants to take their project home…
