THIS CLASS IS SOLD OUT! STAY TUNED AS WE ADD MORE LATE SPRING/EARLY SUMMER!!
Make a project from start to finish under the guidance of an experienced instructor on a 4 or 8 harness floor loom. All levels of experience are welcome, from beginners to advanced weavers! These classes are taught by Nancy Shiffrin, PGHW’s Master Weaver.
Beginners will make a sampler of various weave structures using yarn belonging to the guild. Students will be taught to wind a warp, put the warp on the loom, and basics about yarn sizes and sett. This is a deep dive into beginning weaving!
Intermediates can stretch their skills and try something new, such as lace, double weave, summer and winter or shadow weave. These weavers can weave a project using their own yarn. These students (who are beyond beginners), depending on how experienced they are, can come in with a project idea or I can help them figure out what to weave. More advanced students can warp their own looms, are comfortable winding warps and know the basic workings of a floor loom.
Limit six students.
