Diana’s Patchwork Sashiko Method is a unique mash-up of different slow stitching and patchwork techniques featured in her book “Patchwork Sashiko: Transform Your Scraps” from C&T Publishing. You’ll start with a stack of scraps and learn how to transform them into a beautiful new textile! Then, you’ll use the stitching technique you’ve learned and stitch a variety of additional pieces of fabric. Your textile and the stitched fabric will then be used to create hexagons. These hexies are then hand sewn together using the English Paper Piecing (EPP) technique. We’ll make 7 total hexies. Plan ahead and make a design of your own or make a panel for use in a future project. The visual effect is striking!
