This is an easy basket to make. It has a handle and can hang on the wall or near your sewing machine, loom, wheel, in your kitchen for garlic, etc. It is woven with flat reed in an over/under pattern. You will learn to incorporate the handle into the weaving pattern. The basket measures approximately 6” H x 8” W x 5” D. The bottom is constructed so that things will not fall through.
Requirements: No previous experience required. Moderate hand strength. Attention to detail. Patience.
Students should bring a few embellishments if they like such as small swatches of fabric and buttons. You will be able to choose your handle color from several colors of Shaker tape
