What's this group about?
Event organizers frequently invite the Guild to come out, set up a table and demonstrate our fiber arts talents.
Spinning, carding, weaving, basketry, dyeing or just admiring wool–honestly, anything that’s reasonably portable is fair game.
You don’t have to know everything about anything. People will enjoy just seeing you do something you enjoy.
We’ll try to organize chairs, awnings, etc. We’ll let you know what to expect and if you should bring anything special or wear something “Period” (or a loose interpretation of it).
If you’re at an event, do be a bit of an ambassador for the Guild. Events are a great way to introduce people to what we do. They might even become new members.
It’s also a fun chance to work outdoors with other Guild members. (we’ll cancel if the weather looks iffy–a wet spinning wheel is no fun. ) If you have questions, let me know. Hope to see 🐑 out there.
