This 6-week project class is for any level of weaver. Beginners will make a weaving sampler with yarns provided for you. Everyone else will weave an individually designed project using their own yarns.
Students will receive help to design and weave a project from start to finish, so this is your chance to stretch your skills with guidance and support! The teacher will encourage students to try something new to them; a new yarn, a new structure, a new type of project. In the past, students have tackled lace weaves, overshot, twills, turned taquette and double weave among other structures. There will be 4 and 8 shaft looms available.
You might weave a scarf, table linens or a wall hanging. Students will be in touch with the teacher ahead of class to do some pre-planning.
Classes run on Thursdays from January 30 – March 6, 2025, 11am – 2:30pm.
