Join the PGHW Seed to Shawl and members of The PA FLAX PROJECT to process our homegrown, retted flax and make linen! We will have processing equipment and small looms already warped
with some linen yarn sourced from our cooperative enterprise. We’ll feed in our own retted flax grown behind the PGHW Dye Garden in the Awbury Arboretum. The goal is to create as many 8” x 10” woven pieces as we can. Our pieces will be combined with others created by PA Flax Square Yard Project participants across the state into a single quilt. Bring your handwork skills, your sense of fiber adventure and your imagination! BYO snacks, too- we’ll provide beverages!
