Join PGHW member, Melissa Terrels and learn to make this zippered and lined pouch. You can use handwoven fabric or bring a decorative fabric with you! The pouch is handy for carrying spindles, sewing and knitting notions, to name a few things.
The finished pouch will measure approx. 11″ x 8″ and will be lined. You will have to option to add a wrist strap and/or a hook for keys or stitch markers. Melissa will supply some hooks. You will have the option of learning how to place a simple pocket on the inside.
Students should bring:
2 Pieces of fabric for outside of bag 12″ x 12″
2 pieces of lining fabric for inside of bag 12″ x 12″
1 – 12″ zipper, #4 or #5 preferred. Melissa will have zipper tape with pulls for $3 if you want to buy some.
Sewing machine, thread, scissors and if you have a cutting mat, bring that too. The guild house has some supplies.
