Our January 15 (note date change!) meeting will be a potluck Brunch with a Shirtlace Button lesson by Myra Wood!
Meeting/Potluck Start time: 12 PM
Button Class will be starting around 1:30 ish!!
Learn how to make traditional Shirtlace buttons from the early 20th century, commonly done in multicolors throughout Germany and Austria. These buttons are related to Dorset or thread-ring buttons, using a ring as the base, but differ in how the spokes are laid, creating a multitude of patterns. Shirtlace buttons are a beautiful and functional addition to your button-making skills and look amazing on handmade garments and accessories! No experience necessary. All materials will be provided.
Please bring a Lunch/Brunch item to share. The guild will provide all paper goods and beverages!
