Dr. Samuel Bautista Laza joins us to talk about this great weaving legacy, weaving in the pre-Hispanic era, the Spanish loom, the special qualities of Zapotec wool and the power of craft to carry precious ancestral stories into the future.
Samuel Bautista Laza is a weaver, educator and passionate advocate for local craft-based economies who runs Dixza Rugs with his family in Mexico. He holds a PhD in Engineering with a concentration in Sustainable Manufacturing.
