January meeting/snow

  • Posted by Melissa on January 19, 2024 at 10:17 am

    Hi everyone,

We are supposed to be meeting tomorrow, Saturday, at 11am. I’m not sure how to snow will affect this. The loom is almost threaded, there’s only a little left as I threaded most of it. So then we need to wind it on and start weaving!

What are thoughts about weather. I’m open to checking in the morning. I’m sure the main roads will be fine but arteries may be snowy. I don’t mind snow but I would like to hear your thoughts!

FYI, I took another weaving class and learned another trick for warping!

I’m inclined to stay put until it all melts, but respect that others are more adventurous (and more eager to leave the house).

I’m reticent to make a decision today already. That said, it’s supposed to get down to 18* tonight.

I really want to be at the next mtg so I’d like tomorrow to go on only if Shur’s Ln is entirely clear to drive down.

What do the rest of you feel is safe?

I have been looking forward to this meeting… I am also inclined to staying in and safe. Driving to school was hairy yesterday on some streets, and that was only from Germantown to Chestnut Hill.

I’m going to brave the roads and show up.

I won’t make it – my road is barely plowed and my new car is not AWD so I don’t want to chance it. Bummed!

I won’t be in, too many up and down hills from where I am. My street wasn’t treated though City Streets map said it was. Annoyed at the city. Two out of the three long streets around school was also not treated couple days ago. I am going by that.
