I met with Heidi Barr today. She is the founder of Kitchen Garden Textiles and the co-founder of the Pennsylvania Flax Project and was the speaker at the September guild meeting. She is offering to teach us how the flax to linen process works so that we can create our own prepared flax to spin. Is this something that you would be interested in? We are still very much in the planning phase and welcome your imput. Please let me know how you feel about this.

I’m interested. I took a workshop about 4 years ago that provided a demonstration on the processing of flax and at the end, we had an opportunity to attempt spinning the fiber. I have a flax wheel and would love to attend anything related to the flax to linen process.

Oh that’s great Kathy. I will add you to the list. We should be planting the flax seeds at the end of this month, hopefully.
